| Youth Congress demands removal of encroachments over Hospital land | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sep 13:-Kishtwar: District President Youth Congress Kishtwar Sheikh Nasir Hussain has demanded removal of encroachments from the land of District Hospital Kishtwar.
In a statement issued to press Sheikh Nasir has said that few persons have encroached the land belonging to District Hospital Kishtwar and the fact is well within the knowledge of district administration and hospital management but no action is being taken for the reason best known to the authorities. He has further said that a couple of years back a commission of revenue officials constituted by the then Sub Divisional Magistrate Mandeep Kaur submitted a report after spot inspection which revealed that near about 5 ½ kanals of land is under illegal occupation of encroachers but despite the clear report from the revenue officials the hospital management has failed to get their land cleared.
Sheikh Nasir has further said that despite repeated requests the authorities have been unable to remove the encroachments which are a matter of great concern.
He has said that it is an irony that even the land of the government hospital had been taken over by encroachers and neither hospital management nor the administration was prepared to remove the encroachments. He has alleged that if an inquiry was conducted, it would prove that either a government organization or government officials or politicians were behind the land grabbers.
Sheikh Nasir has appealed to Health Minister as well Revenue Minister to intervene in the matter and retrieve the hospital land from the possession of land grabbers.
