Polytechnic students boycott classes | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu,Sept 13: Students of Govt. Polytechnic colleges Vikram chowk, Jammu boycotted their classes under the banner of National Panthers Students Union (NPSU). The protest was against the college administration against the lack of facilities for the students in the colleges. The protest was led by Gurjeet Singh, Sachin Singh Sanwal, Talvinder Singh, and Awaiss. All the students gathered at college premises and raised slogans against the college administration. Students warned the college administration to give full facilities to them. There is neither any canteen in the college and nor any facilities of sports. The condition of the library is also worse and the teachers did not take regular classes. On the occasion Atul Suddan (provincial secy. NPSU) said that they should look after the students and should give full facilities to them. Otherwise students will turn this protest into a mass agitation. On the occasion Partap Singh Jamwal (Provincial President NPSU) said that on the one side the govt. is claiming that full facilities to the newly opened colleges are being provided but on the other side the conditions of the old colleges is becoming worse day by day. Jamwal alleged that the administration is misusing the funds. Others who were present in this protest include Jaspreet Singh, Rajat singh,Vishv Bharti, Suvinder singh etc
