| Ex-servicemen held meet | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, September 13: Ex-Servicemen are celebrating ex-servicemen week throughout the country to highlight the sacrifices made by the soldiers for their country and also the problems being faced by them for which rallies will be held at district level from September 15 .
State level rally will be held at Samba on September 17 which will be attended by Surjit Singh Slathia, Minister for Industries (Chief Guest), Raman Bhalla, Revenue Minister, Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma, Minister for Cooperative, Madan Lal Sharma, MP, Dr Pawan Kotwal, Divisional Commissioner Jammu, DC Jammu, DC Samba and Commander 168 Inf Bde.
A memorandum of demands will be submitted to the government which will contain the demands including complete implementation of One Rank One Pension as demanded by the Ex-Services League including reservists and increase in widow pensions, relief in VAT on canteen stores, acquisition of land for Defence colonies by November, 15% Reservation in Govt. Jobs at par with Himachal Pradesh, revival of Sainik Vanaspati cooperative factory immediately.
