| Ultra-sound clinic seized | | | Early times report
JAMMU, Sept 13: A team of health department and police today sealed an ultra-sound clinic for violating the PNDT act and arrested a doctor present in the clinic allegedly involved in conducting sex determination test. As per the reports, after getting specific information that Mata Santo Devi Memorial Ultra-Sound clinic is violating the PNDT Act and is routinely conducting the sex determination tests, a team headed by Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Jammu, Dr Baldev Raj Sharma along with a police party raided the clinic and seized the records.
Sources said that Dr Monica who was allegedly involved in recent case of sex determination recently which was detected by the health officials was arrested and case has been registered against the clinic for violating the rules. The licence of the clinic has also been cancelled. |
