Khoda addresses Durbar at Sopore | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 14: The Director General of Police, Mr Kuldeep Khoda has asserted that Jammu & Kashmir Police will take all measure to maintain lasting peace in the State. He said that the people’s cooperation has encouraged our will to curb the militancy and bring State on the rails of development. Mr. Khoda was addressing a maiden durbar held at Sopore today. Large number of Jawans and officers from Jammu & Kashmir Police and CRPF were present at the Durbar. He said that JKP has been acclaimed at National level for its role and sacrifices in its fight against the terrorism. He said that Jawans and officers of the force have never agitated in offering sacrifices’ of their lives in the service of people of State. Referring the recent successful operation in North Kashmir, he congratulated the men for success in eliminating some hard core militants involved in several civil killings. He said the cooperation among JKP and other security forces deployed in the State on anti- militancy have made the operations successful. He expressed his hope that everlasting peace would be maintained in the State with the active cooperation of the people. The DGP also chaired a meeting of senior police and CRPF officers and reviewed the security situation in North Kashmir. He emphasized upon the officers present in the meeting to ensure highest degree of tolerance while conducting anti militancy operations. He said that we have to feel beat of pulse of the people closely, who want peace and development in the State. The peace loving people should not be harassed and it should ensure that no collateral damages is take place in these operations, he added. Among other the meeting / durbar was attended by IGP, Kashmir, Mr. S.M. Sahai. IG, CRPF, DIG North Kashmir, Mr. Muneer Ahmed Khan, Commandants of Armed Police and CRPF, SP Sopore, Mr. Imtaz Ahmed and other officers.
