High Court issues notice on Delhi blast | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, September 14: A Division Bench of Delhi High Court comprising of Hon’ble JJ Deepak Misra (Chief Justice) and Sanjeev Khanna issued notice to the Union of India and Govt. of NCT of Delhi on a writ petition (PIL) filed by Gaurav Kumar Bansal, Secretary, State Legal Aid Committee, J&K headed by Professor Bhim Singh. The writ petition has been filed seeking appropriate relief/compensation to the families of victims of terrorists’ attack on September 7 at Delhi High Court where about 13 persons have lost their lives and about 75 peoples who became handicapped for life or were seriously injured. Gaurav Kumar Bansal, Advocate submitted that there is neither any policy nor any guideline for rehabilitation of the families of the victims or for those who were injured or have became handicapped for life. In his petition Gaurav Kumar Bansal has prayed for appropriate compensation to the families of the victims, full and comprehensive compensation for the treatment of those who are injured, appropriate social security to the victims who have become permanently handicapped. Delhi High Court directed the respondents to file detailed reply on the queries made by the petitioner. The next date of hearing is fixed on September 21 .
