Sham asks Medics, Paramedics, ASHAS to work with dedication

SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 14:-Asking the doctors, paramedics and ASHA workers to work with dedication and devotion to ensure that benefits of NRHM reaches to the people at grass root level stated Minister for Health, Horticulture and Floriculture Sham Lal Sharma while addressing a one day NRHM sammelan organized by District Health Society today at Anantnag.
He asked for effective implementation of the scheme to improve infrastructure, augment manpower, provide emergency and referral transport services with improved logistics in health facilities.


Reiterating the Commitment of the Government to provide better and timely Medicare to the rural,poor masses at their door steps especially under National Rural Health Mission, he said that transparency, accountability and accessibility in the health Department will help in improving the implementation of the programme.
The Minister said that an amount of Rs. 25000 will be provided to a worker for showing best performance under the mission and similarly, an award of Rs. 25000 will also be provided to a person who informs about the sex determination case being done in their area.
The Legislators also spoke about the aims and objective of NRHM on the occasion and put forth several result oriented suggestion for the mission.
Later, the Minister distributed certificate with cash prizes among seven ASHAs worker of Anantnag districts.
Among others, legislators Mr. G. A. Mir , Mr. Rafi Ahmad Mir, Mr. Peerzada Mansoor Hussain, Mohammad Amin Bhat, Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag, Mr. Syed Kiyafat Hussain Rizvi, Dr. Bashir Ahmad Veeri, Director Health Services, Kashmir, Dr. Salim-ul-Rehman, Director, NRHM, Dr. Yashpal, Director, Family Welfare, Dr. Rajesh Khajuria, Director, ISM, Dr. Abdul Kabir, Project Director, Aids Control Programme, Dr. Waseem Qurashi, CMO Anantnag, Dr. Gulzar, besides Districts level officers, doctors, paramedics and ASHA workers and large number of Panches and Sarpanches, Aganwardi worker and prominent citizens of the district were also present on the occasion.
