| Inter–school debate held on ‘The Girl Child’ | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, September 14: Carmel Convent School, Kunjwani organized an Inter-school Debate Competition on the topic “Is the Girl Child Safe in India Today?”. 15 schools from the neighbourhood of Jammu participated. It was to create awareness among the students about the gender discrimination and declining sex ratio in India.
It was emphasized during the debate that women should be educated to bring about a change in the mindset of the society to accept the Girl Child and give her the rightful place in the society.
We pray for all the girl children who are suffering in our country due to the lack of basic necessities due to poverty.
