Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, September 14: All Parties Migrant Coordination Committee (APMCC) has served an ultimatum upto September 30 to the government of J&K and Union Government to declare a time frame for initiating process of considering the 6 point charter of demands of APMCC for Kashmiri Hindus which include dialogue with Pakistan for facilitating visit to Shardha Peeth in POK.
The other demads include probe into the multi-crore temple/shrines land encroachment in valley, passing of the pending Temples and Shrines Bill in Legislative Assembly , one time compensation for over-aged migrant youth, special employment package for Non-Migrant Hindus of Kashmir Valley and establishment of Shardha Peeth University in Kashmir
Addressing a press conference in Srinagar today the APMCC General Secretary Advocate Arun Kandroo said that Vinod Pandit, Chairman of the organization would resort to indefinite hunger strike in Kashmir Valley on October 7, if the government fails to come out with a time frame to resolve these pending issues.
He said that APMCC has listed these six major demands of Kashmiri Hindus which have been raised from time to time with the government which has ignored the sentiments of the Kashmiri Hindus resulting in disappointment among the community.
He added that letters to this effect have already been dispatched to the President of India, PM, all the ministers, Chief ministers, MPS and MLAs of the state and the country seeking their support.
He said that APMCCs indefinite hunger strike was to get a public assurance from both the central and state governments that their 6-point charter of demands would be taken up within a time frame.
Addressing the media another APMCC Kashmir incharge Sandeep Bhat said that APMCC wants just a time frame form the Govt of India & J&K to initiate process of considering these demands including that of a dialogue with Pakistan for facilitating visit of KPs to Shardhaa Peeth which was not a big deal if the governments were sincere in resolving the miseries of Kashmiri Hindus.
