| BSNL employees hold day long dharna | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sep 14:-Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited Union Joint Action Committee held one day dharna in front of the General Manager BSNL’s office Jammu today on on the call of all India Unions of Joint Action Committee of BSNL headquarter New Delhi.
The dharna was held to protest against the decision to withdraw of medical allowances without vouchers including pensioners, withdrawal of encashment of leave while availing LTC/Home town, freezing of all India LTC for 2 years .
The speakers condemned the policy of the BSNL and gave all account of the mismanagement of the BSNL management.
Instead of improving the services of the department, it is curtailing the wages and allowances of the staff but they did not curtail the wasteful expenditure on officers and administration set up by floating tenders for small works which can be managed by the BSNL within their own sources. The speakers who spoke include N S Manhas president of BSNLEU district Jammu, Manjeet Singh district secretary BSNL, SK Moza leaders and president of Bantalab branch.
