| Police SI bulldozes his new branded car in full public view | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 14: Taking undue advantage of his official position a police sub inspector smashed his newly branded alto car with a bulldozer in upper Paloura area under the jurisdiction of Janipur Police Station in mysterious circumstances.
The car which according to sources belonged to Police Sub Inspector was parked in a open plot of land adjacent to his residence and on September 11 the SI suddenly brought a bulldozer and smashed it. He then loaded it into a tractor trolley and took to some unknown destination, sources added.
Sources said that not only this but the SI also dismantled the pavements of some local residents by leveling the road through bulldozer. One of the resident has also lodged a complaint with DIG, Jammu Police who has referred the matter to SSP Jammu for investigation. However four days have elapsed but police has failed to take action against the defaulter.
Sources said the SI ruined the newly branded white colour alto car in the evening of September 11. The car was having three wheels. The attempt of bulldozing the car started on 5 pm and entire process was completed in one hour, sources added.
Sources said the neighbors have also made a complaint to Director General Police, Kuldeep Khuda and sought his immediate intervention in the matter. Sources said that the people in the vicinity are surprised that why the SI did this action as it takes decades dreaming to have a car and the Sub Inspector who had a couple of luxury cars smashed one newly branded alto car in a dramatic way. Terming the act suspicious, sources said there is great mystery behind the act and the same needs to be investigated by the police.
The sources said that the SI also dug the road wherefrom bulldozer was brought in the empty plot of land and after smashing the car he also damaged the pavement of some of the local residents which were on the edge of the lane. The residents of the area have taken serious action of the highhandedness of the police officer and appealed the higher authorities to take action against him. The sources said that the local people have got scared with the action of SI saying if such the law enforcers will become the law breakers what will be the fate of the common man and from whom he can expect justice.
Sources said the SI dug the lane and bulldozed the pavement of his neighbor when the owner of the hose who is a journalist by profession was in his office and his two kids and wife were alone in the house. The scribe has also decided to bring the issue in the notice of journalists fraternity and human rights commission, sources added. |
