| PDP demanded inquiry into misappropriation of college funds | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, Sep 15:People Democratic Party District President Sukh Dev Sharma has demanded inquiry against Udhampur college principal who has allegedly misused local college funds here after misusing funds at Rajouri college during his tenure for which he is facing a inquiry .
Sharma said that college Principal N.K Rastora has also misused local funds at Udhampur by purchasing AC and other luxury furnishing items and has diverted college local funds for renovation of his official residential quarter and other construction works meant for welfare of students .He alleged principal has also spent funds lavishly in organizing programmes having no use for students from education point of view.
He added that a local political party leader has already written to CM to probe into Prof. Nutan’s moveable and immovable assets as per an RTI Information .He demanded that government should order an inquiry to inquiry the funds utilized during tenure of erring principal as reports of massive misuse of college funds is being received from and funds has been misused considering it their personal property.
PDP leader said that present college principal has been already found guilty of misusing local college funds at Rajouri about which a show case notice has been issued against him in local news papers by inquiry committee.
He questioned that under such circumstances how government could appoint such corrupt officers at such prestigious post.
Sharma expressed concern about the future of students who took money from their parents and deposit it with college with the expectation that it would be utilized for their welfare but are being cheated by such officers.
