Hideout busted in Doda, two militants along with kidnapped girl flee
Two HM hardcore terrorists gunned down in Banihal

Two hardcore militants of HM out fit were gunned down in an encounter in Banihal area, while Security Forces busted a militants’ hideout in Doda. The two militants along with a girl taking shelter in the hide out managed to escape while the girl died when she fell into a gorge while running .
A police hand out said that on a specific information about the presence of terrorists in the area, a joint search operation was launched by Police and 23 RR at village Khari Lablath in Banihal and during search an encounter took place between the forces and the militants in which two militants of HM outfit were gunned down. The slain militants, who had been active in the area for quite some time, have been identified as Qasim Gujjar code Badsha Khan son of Shamas Din resident of Lab Latha Khari and Irshad code Shaheen son of Lakhiya Gujjar of Reasi Mahore.
Two AK rifles, seven AK magazines and two radio sets were recovered from the possession of the slain militants.
The handout further said that a joint search operation was launched by Doda Police and 8 RR in general area of Parshola forest in Doda at 1130 hours today and busted a hide out in which two militants Javid Iqbal code Umer Gazi son of Amivallah resident of Zehand and Mhammed Iqbal @ Haq Nawaz son of Mangta Malik resident of Tanta along with a kidnapped girl Shabnam Banoo daughter of Ghulam Hassan Bhat of Prem Nagar were taking shelter.
Upon this an encounter took place, however the militants along with the kidnapped girl managed to fed away towards the woods taking the advantage of darkness. The kidnapped girl while running towards the forest slipped and fell down into a gorge and died on the spot. Body of the girl was later rercovered. One Chinese hand grenade was also recovered from the hide out, the spokesman said adding that search has been launched to apprehend the ultras.
