| Awareness-cum-orientation camp held at Chenani | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, Sep 15:An awareness-cum-orientation camp under Swaran Jayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana (SGSY) was held at Block Headquarter Chenani in which sarpanches, panchayat functionaries and Self Help Groups (SHGs) participated. Besides, officials of line departments also attended the said camp.
In the camp the elected panchayat representatives, Self Help Groups and general public were given awareness about SGSY and other rural Development programmes like MGNREGA, Total Sanitation Campaign and Indira Awaas Yoana. The elected panchayat representatives also participated in an interactive session on devolution of powers to panchayats.
Prominent among the speakers on the occasion were Project Officer, DRDA, . Susheel Kumar, Block Development Officer, Chenani, Horticulture Development Officer,. Rajesh Gupta, Assistant Project Officer DRDA Udhampur,. S.K Katak, The deliberations were also done as National Rural Livelihood Mission which is likely to be launched in Block Chenani.
