| Administration, PDP lock horn over venue of Mehbooba’s rally | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
BHADERWAH, Sep 15:A tug of war between the local administration of Bhaderwah and PDP unit of Doda district led by its President Sheikh Mujeeb Ali has started over the proposed venue of PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti’s scheduled rally tomorrow.
The administration has sanctioned new bus stand for public meeting but locals leaders of PDP are adamant to hold PDP Chief’s rally in the premises of the Seri Bazaar which is a crowded area.
According to sources in the initial stage local administration refused PDP the Sari Bazaar for public rally due to security reasons and purpose new bus stand for that purpose .Sources said today once again PDP unit of Bhaderwah led by its President Sheikh Mujeeb Ali and Thakur Yudvir today met SDM Bhaderwah for granting permission to hold rally at heart of the town but SDM strongly denied permission and once again purposed new bus stand for that purpose.
After that PDP core committee of Doda district hold a meeting at residence of PDP district President and after that they talk to media and informed if administration has denied them permission to hold rally at Seri Bazaar now then tomorrow they will court arrest at the same place against the dictatorial attitude of the administration. He said situation at Bhaderwah is now becoming panic due to denial of permission to rally at Seri Bazaar where all parties organized rallies in the past . He said state government is discriminating with opposition party and try to disturb the rally .Sheikh Mujeeb Ali said which place is being purposed by the administration is outside the town and there is lack of water , electricity and bathrooms . When this media person contacted SDM in this connection he accepted that we have purposed them new bus stand for holding rally due to security reason and added that where PDP leaders wants to hold rally is centrally located place where from route goes to remote areas of Bhaderwah town, hospitals , schools and banks and if rally permission is permitted at crowded place it will disrupt whole town and people may suffer.
He said if any one found not adhering to the orders of administration, action under law will be taken.
