Pre-arrest bail denied to accused who got job in police on fake documents | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sept 15: Principal sessions judge Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal today denied pre-arrest bail to Madan Lal of Trindi, Ramgarh, who had obtained the job of a constable in police on the basis of fake documents.
According to the police case that on letter dated May 24, 2011 was received in P/S
Pacca Danga Jammu on May 25, 2011 from DPO Jammu regarding registration of FIR. According to the police case, recruitment of police constables in Jammu district was
conducted after taking physical test and checking of educational certificates, a list of
650 candidates was sent to PHQ (armed) for approval. After verification it was found that the educational certificates of some candidates were
fake. On this report, police registered FIR and started investigation. The court, after hearing both the sides, said it was satisfied that the investigation was
in progress and offence committed by the accused was against public policy and had
obtained order invading the rights of eligible candidates. The accused was involved in an offence for which sentence could be more than 10
years. In case, the accused was granted pre-arrest bail, there was every likelihood that
he would not cooperate with the investigating agency and might intervene in the normal
conduct of investigation. There was also a possibility of the accused jumping the trial. The judge said the custodial interrogation of the accused was required and ordered the
dismissal of his pre-arrest bail application.
