Early Times Report
BILLAWAR, September 15: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today charged the National Conference (NC) led coalition regime with adopting pick and choose policy in giving compensation to the drought affected farmers of Billawar tehsil.

Addressing a public meeting at Billawar, General Secretary of PDP Thakur Balbir Singh said that government has started giving compensation to the farmers affected due to drought in the year 2009. “It is unfortunate that pick and choose policy being adopted to give compensation to the affected farmers”, he said and warned that PDP would not remain a mute spectators to such discriminatory policies of the coalition regime.

Thakur Balbir Singh also expressed his concern over failure of the authorities to restore movement of traffic on Dayala Chak-Billawar road.

Pointing towards rampant corruption in the State, he said that instead of taking some effective steps to control corruption in the administration this regime has legalized the corruption through its actions.
