Three washed away in flash floods at Poonch | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sep 16:Three persons, including a teenage girl, were today washed away in flash-floods triggered by incessant rain in Poonch district, officials said. Ten persons have been rescued so far in various parts from the district, they added. Two brothers, identified as Mohmmad Taj (50) and Mohmmad Razak (45), were crossing Suran river in Surankote belt when flash floods washed them away this morning, they said.
16-year-old Tazeem was crossing a nallah in Sabzian border area when she was washed away in the flash floods, they said.
Although police and locals have launched rescue operation, but so far only one body has been recovered in Surankote, they said, adding that the search is on.
A nomad family, which was caught in flash flood at Ramsoo area, were rescued, they said.
