Lecturers' Forum rejects agreement between Govt - Employees’ leaders | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers' Forum has strongly condemned the agreement signed by the so called leaders under the influence of Government and termed it as another" betrayal and sell out"
The Central Executive of the Forum which met at Jammu under the Chairmanship of its president RD Qureshi has seriously viewed the complete surrender of JCC leaders before the Government and out rightly rejected the so called agreement.
The House expressed its surprise that the Government has already wasted six long year and for further five years it has blocked the payment of 6th Pay Commission arrears and the agreement on the terms and conditions devised by the government exposed the" foul play and hidden dealing" between so called leaders and the Government.
The House expressed its anguish that the payment of arrears in 5 years that too through GPF is nothing but a "cruel joke and an eye wash" with 5 lakh State Employees.
The House regretted that with the agreement the so called leaders have given a severe set back to the employees who are debarred from getting the benefit of 6th Pay Commission arrears which are due from 15t January 2006 and even the interest on the arrears of an individual goes in thousands.
The House appealed the State Chief Minister for review on the decision and ensure atleast 50% Cash Payment of arrears to meet the present needs of Employees in these days of inflation.
RD Qureshi while speaking on this occasion appealed the working classes for a broader unity to get the desired goals.
Others who spoke on the occasion include Charan Dass and Manmeet Bali both Vice President, N. S Jamwal General Secretary, Ashwani Sharma Chief Organizer and B.D Sharma District President Jammu, TarseIn Singh, O.P Katoch besides many others.
