| Congress, BJP twin crutches of NC Government | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, September 16: Professor Bhim Singh, Chairman, National Panthers Party has warned the people of J&K, particularly the people of Jammu province about the opportunists and loyalists role of both Congress and the BJP of J&K during past four decades.
The BJP though a part of Bhartiya Janata Party has been playing as ‘C’ team of National Conference rulers seeking advantage of every situation that helps Kashmiri rulers to rule J&K. The State Congress has acted as ‘B’ team right since 1947 with one aim to promote their personal gains. It was the Congress leadership who instigated Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah to launch a so-called ‘Quit Kashmir’ movement against the Dogras only to wreak vengeance against Dogra Maharaja Hari Singh in 1947.
In 1965, the Congress in Delhi realized that National Conference has lost its credibility, the Congress used the then Prime Minister of J&K, G M Sadiq by converting National Conference into the Congress.
Sheikh Abdullah after 1975 Accord with the Central Govt. revived National Conference thus bringing a farce division between the Congress and the National Conference. Both the National Conference and Congress have been playing fraud with the people of J&K.
They were the ones who bred militancy in J&K denouncing the Kashmiri Muslims as ‘separatists’ and ‘terrorists’.
The BJP, on the other hand owned Sheikh’s family by inducting Sheikh Abdullah’s grandson as a State Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Union. After baptizing Sheikh Abdullah’s grandson, Sheikh’s son, presently a Union Minister was also worked out by the BJP.
The relationship between the BJP and the National Conference materialized when BJP managed to elect their Mayor of Jammu City with the support of NC corporators. The BJP leaders were the major beneficiaries seeking all advantages and profitable business permits from NC government. A small survey of Jammu City can lead one to establish this fact. The major allotments of liquor shops went to BJP and Congress leaders.
The BJP got exposed when in a previous election to the Legislative Council, the BJP MLAs voted against their own candidate a sitting State President for the post of a Member of the Legislative Council.
In another election to the Rajya Sabha two BJP MLAs openly voted for Dr. Farooq Abdullah to save him from the sink. The recently BJP legislators voted for Congress and NC candidates in an election to the Legislative Council. This was vote for cash which became apparent to everybody.
The cause which the people of Jammu have to undertake without any hesitation is reorganization of J&K by assuring separation of power for all the three regions of the state namely, Ladakh, Kashmir and Jammu.
