Panthers to launch country wide movement against price hike
9/17/2011 8:24:08 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sep 17:Addressing one-day convention of Panthers Party activists in Delhi, its Chairman, Prof Bhim Singh called on Panthers Party activists and its supporters to join the ‘Ultimate Revolution’ which is being launched nation-wide to wake up the people particularly the youth against corruption, price-hike, particularly oil price hike which has adversely affected life of the middle class and lower class.
Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) Chief said that rupee has been devalued hundred times as compared to its value 30 years back whereas the wages and the salaries of the working class have not improved.
The Panthers Party Chief demanded that the government should take over entire crude oil import and its trade in its own hand from the blood thirsty private companies who have been sucking the blood of the poor. He described Finance Minister’s statement that the government has no control over oil prices because oil trade is in the hands of private companies as highly misleading.
Singh accused the British Parliament in his address to the Panthers activists saying that British Parliament should look into their faces in Northern Ireland, Scotland and South Wales into the record of human rights violation in those segments which have been forcibly kept within the so-called United Kingdom.
He strongly condemned the US administration for their imperial attitude vis-à-vis Palestine. He said that US has been exposed of its double standards as it has been advocating for statehood of Palestine just three years back whereas the US President shamelessly declared that the USA shall veto the resolution if brought in the Security Council.
Prof. Bhim Singh has given a call to the Panthers activists to register their names with the Districts and State Committees who would like to join the long march against corruption, communalism, price-hike and for complete disarmament, peace and universal brotherhood.
