3 Burmese sentenced in Foreigners Act

EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 17: Judicial magistrate, Kathua, Aarti Mohan today awarded two and a
half years imprisonment to two Burmese nationals in Foreigners Act.
A fine of Rs 10,000 was also imposed on each of them.
The convicts included Abu Alam, son of Zakir Ahmed, Farooq, son of Noorul Islam, and

Mohammad Saleem, son of Ali Ahmed Ahmed, all residents of Mandhu, Burma. They

were facing trial under section 3/6 of Indian Passport Act (Entry into India without

passport) and section 14-A of Foreigners Act.
They were sent to district jail, Kathua.
