| Sub - standard material used in Jagti township, CBI Probe demanded | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, September 17: A meeting of Sona Kashmir front J&K and Jagti Tenement committee Jagti was held under the chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita, president. The meeting was attended by the members of both Soan Kashmir front and Jagti Tenement committee.
During the course of meeting various issues were discussed in detail. While speaking in the meeting Pandit said that though the government had assured the Kashmir Pandit migrant community that a satellite town ship shall be brought up at Jagti with all modern facilities, but to the surprise of this migrant community it has been experienced that all basic supplies, water supplies besides the most of the quarters in this town ship are leaking, various buildings have developed cracks.
The man holes existing in the premise of Higher Secondary school and Middle school have been left uncovered with the result the foul smell is pouring from these manholes .
Pandita said that this town ship has not been brought up as a proper town ship but a migrant camp as sub standard material has been used in construction and necessitated a CBI probe.
Pandita has further said that huge corruption is prevailing in the Relief organisation, as thousands of ration cards have been issued by the zonal officers fraudulently and fictitiously in order to extract huge amounts form the Government for their own vested interests.
Pandita has said that in case all the ration cards prepared fraudulently and fictitiously if identified and ceased the assistance of relief against these fraudulent cards then help to the tune of Rs. 25,000/-per month besides saving huge amounts. Pandita has also sought CBI probe in these fraudulent ration cards.
Pandita has further said that the relief commissioner had assured the migrants that the TRT shall not be allotted to those migrants who have constructed their own residential houses as will as those non state subjects and non Kashmir migrants have been provided TRT accommodation.
Prominent among others where present in the meeting are Ravi Ji General Secretary of Jagti Tenement committee ,Vijay Kumar , Vinod Tickoo, Sumir Pandita, Kuldeep Koli, Chand and B L Raina others.
