| Herbal talk & plantation at J&K Cultural Academy Jammu | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Sep 18: Citizen from all walks of life gathered today at B C Park near Indira Chowk, Jammu to participate in Vanoushdhi Varta( Herbal Talk) cum plantation program.
The program, which was organized by Van Sampda in collaboration with Sahyog India and JSB Society offered a platform for the participants to exchange their experiences and views regarding Herbal plants and Ayurveda.
Those who were present also planted a medicinal plant in the park which is situated in the heart of city and offered a breath of fresh air in smoke choked area of General Bus Stand Jammu.
K R Padha, IAS and K K Sharma, director floriculture Jammu briefed the importance of plantation which is free source of life saving oxygen and expressed their views that the global warming which is threatening the world today can only be countered by effective planning of controlling the emission of poisonous gases from vehicles and factories.
Sharda Potukuchi of SMVD University Katra, while addressing the participants said that more and more people should follow the traditional ways of treatment which advocated the use of Medicinal plants mainly and not be fooled by ads of herbal products only.
Among others who addressed the gathering were Nagar, Anil Gaind, Lalit Kumar of Sahyog India, Harjeet Singh, sarpanch, O P Bakshi of JSB society, a noted tree lover S Manjit Singh and Dushyant Gupta.
