UPMA critics state government, project various demands | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Doda, Sep 18: The Unemployed Para Medical Association (UPMA) District President Doda Faizan Ali Tramboo has strongly criticized the State Government and particularly the Health Minister and Director NRHM for not fulfilling the demands of unemployed Male Multipurpose Health Worker (MMPHW) and Pharmacist Diploma holders. Tramboo said that earlier during the last year the Association met with Director NRHM and Health Minister Sham Lal Sharma regarding inclusion and adjustment of MMPHW and Pharmacist Diploma holder on the pattern of National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) scheme but till no action has been taken so far resulting into which more than thousands of these diploma holders are facing great hardships. He further said the Director NRHM and Health Minster had assured them during last year that, MMHPW and Pharmacist diploma holders should be adjusted in the NRHM scheme but these promises remained a distant dream for the unemployed diploma holders. He alleged that other Para Medical disciples like Laboratory Assistant, X-ray Assistant, Operation Technology (OT) diploma holders of J&K are being adjusted under NRHM then why not MMPHW and Pharmacist . The President UPMA furthermore appealed to all these diploma holders of Jammu Division to join hand with UPMA to fight for their genuine cause. General Secretary of the Association, Javed Iqbal also criticized the State Government and showing great resentment over the Govt. not giving attention towards the diploma holders of MMPHW and Pharmacist. Javed also informed that more than hundreds of these diploma holders are at the verge of overage. The UPMA made an appeal to Chief Minister J&K, Health Minister and Director NRHM to look in to the matter and redress the demand of these diploma holders within a month time, otherwise the Association will go for a mass agitation
