| Wani inspects Jhijote-Bhabore road | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
DODA, Sep 18:Senior Congress leader and MLA Doda Abdul Majid Wani, today, inspected 14 km road costing Rs 8.72 crore connecting a number of villages from Jhijote to Bhabore. This road, constructed under PMGSY, was opened, today, for the general public. Showing his satisfaction over the quality work of the PMGSY road, Wani asked R&B Engineers to work selflessly in their noble job of nation building and all civil works should be got executed strictly in full conformity with quality standards. Earlier, Wani said that Doda-Goha road, which is in shambles, required immediate widening & improvement. Wani also made an appeal to the Government Authorities to change funding pattern under Projectisation and State Plan scheme. The present pattern of release of funds for road projects, in piecemeal, has badly affected the pace and quality of these projects. Wani also listened to general grievances of people and assured them that their genuine concerns especially related to dwindling health sector shall be shortly addressed by the Government. People also demanded improvement in general electricity and water supply in their area and immediate replacement of rotten wood poles.
Earlier, Wani also addressed a public rally at Gowalote in Ghat block and made them aware about various public utility projects launched by the Government. Various other speakers also addressed the public rally and raised demand for improvement in health sector, opening of dispensary, high school in their area.
