IDP condemns repeated hike in petro products | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sep 18:The Internationalist Democratic Party (IDP) strongly condemned the attitude and style of UPA government for repeated hike in prices of petroleum products.
While addressing a gathering at Bela( Hiranagar) ID Khajuria , National President, IDP termed the clarification by Finance Minister as totally irresponsible and in unscrupulous style that” it is the Companies” who are raising the prices and government has no role.
Khajuria asked that who is responsible for the social security and for social justice in favour of Indian people who are groaning under the intolerable burden of unprecedented corruption, crime, violence, human rights violations, illiteracy, poverty, unemployment, houseless ness, increasing diseases, lack of drinking water and health-care, delayed and high cost justice, power break down, traffic accidents, communal riots, smuggling and gambling proving an unsuitable system which is pushing India towards disaster.
Khajuria demanded procurement centres for farmers to sell their coming Paddy (rice) crops at reasonable rates or farmers should also allowed to fix the prices of their products at their own as par oil companies.
He demanded immediate release of compensation of human, pet-animals and material loss during firing exercises in the villages (from Paroungli, Sandhi-Dhabbad) under Chhattra firing exercise Range from 1992 till date, for which people have represented, protested and approached the concerned authorities repeatedly.
The rally was also addressed by district secretary, IDP, BL Kandley, Rampal, tehsil president IDP, Suresh Kumar, Darshan Lal who demanded investigation of NRHM funds mis -utilised in construction work, purchasing of refrigerators (domestic model) , purchasing of ACs in Kathua district and also inquiry of staff appointments. They also demanded an inquiry in the funds utilization under rural development department particularly under MNREGA and IAY.
