NMC appeals CM to regularize daily wagers

Jammu September 18- National Mazdoor Conference President, Subash Shastri has appealed the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to regularize the services of all Daily wagers, casual labour, contractual and adhoc employees of the state govt adding that the high power committee constituted by the govt. for the purpose should be asked to submit its final report to the state govt. at the earliest.
Addressing a largely attended NMC worker rally here today, Shastri said that these employees and daily rated workers neither getting there wages regularly nor they had been regularizes for last many years which calls for taking immediate measures for improving their working conditions. Lauding the 28 months achievements of Omar led government, Shastri urged for grant all pending installments of COLA, time bound regularization of all daily wagers.
Shastri also urged/ Omar Abdullah to provide all other perks and allowances which have been available to be the centre government employees.
He urged him to consider removal of anomalies in SRO-93 to satisfy all sections of the salaries class. He demanded that the arrears on account of 6th pay commission implementation be released in two installments.
Pleading the cause of PSU’s employees, Shastri emphasized that they should be given Pensionery benefits. He also pleaded that 7% DA installment due from July this year be released in favour of state government employees and pensioners as this benefits has already been extended by the centre government to its employees and pensioners.
Several resolutions were adopted at the rally which included release of wages of Motivators working in IWDP besides their regularization, timely release of wages, issuance of orders of 180 daily wagers working in rural development department, regularization of service of all daily wagers, casual labour working in sericulture, PWD and other departments, adjusting on vacant post of seasonal labour working in Irrigation division Akhnoor and irrigation Division-II release of pending wages of workers at Trikuta Hills Project of Social Forestry department.
Among those who also addressed the rally included Rajan Babu Khajuria, Sunil Kochhar, Sham Lal Sharma, Rakesh Padha, Bhupinder Singh, Kasturi Lal and others
