Police remand of 2 terror email accused extended by 3 days | | | Early Times Report KISHTWAR, Sept 19: Principal district and sessions court judge, Kishtwar, M L Manhas
today ordered the extension of police remand of terror email accused -- Sharik Khawar Butt and Abid Hussain Bhawani -- by three days. The court directive came after the two alleged accused were produced at the official residence of the judge amid tight security. Both of them are in police custody since September 10 when they were picked up for allegedly sending terror email from Global Internet Cafe here after the Delhi high court blast. When asked about the progress made by police and NIA in the case, Kulbir Singh, additional SP, Kishtwar, refused to give any detail.Meanwhile, family members of the detained youth called on PDP president Mehbooba Mufti at Chenab Bhawan here and claimed that they were innocent. She assured them that no innocent would be allowed to be dragged in the case. While saying that the students of the state, especially of Doda and Kishtwar, who were studying outside J&K, were feeling insecure, she said she wanted to make an appeal to the prime minister to take steps to ensure that they were not put to harassment.She said investigation in the case should be thorough so that the innocent were not booked.
