Court rejects bail application of cheater | | | Early Times Report Jammu, September-19 (JNF):- Railway Magistrate Jammu R.S. Jasrotia Monday rejected the bail application of Vishal Chander who was running a private academy and allegedly cheated the complainant of Rs 50,000/- by assuring him to manage admission in Govt Polytechnic Jammu.
According to the police, on September 1, 2011, one Lalit Sharma lodged a written report in P/S Kanachak that he had been cheated by the accused Vishal Chander r/o Muthi by taking money to the tune of Rs 50,000 on the assurance of managing admission in Govt Polytechnic College Jammu for three years Diploma Course in Civil Engineering and after demanded amount and all documents were handed over to him by the complainant, he approached him in his office in the school situated at Purkhoo to clarify whether he has managed his admission or not. In response the accused supplied him a fake diploma certificate and with this act of the accused, the complainant had been cheated of his money. Upon this police registered FIR u/s 420/467/468/471 RPC and started investigation. The accused was arrested by the police on September 2, 2011 and since then he is in police custody.
Railway Magistrate Jammu R.S. Jasrotia after hearing the prosecution who opposed the bail application on the ground that investigation is in progress and some more information about running racket of supplying fake certificates and recovery may be affected if the accused was granted bail, rejected the bail application. |
