| SRTC/ GTU pensioners seek fulfilment of demands | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sep 19:
An executive body meeting of the J&K SRTC/ GTU Pensioners Welfare Association was held at Jammu under the Chairmanship of Ajig Singh Adyal.
The various demands and grievances of the pensioners were discussed in the meeting. The meeting unanimously decided to adopt agitiational path under provision of the constitution in the Corporation as the authorities have totally failed to redress their grievances.
The members demanded disbursement of COLA arrears in favour of the pensioners blocked by the Corporation with effect from January 1, 1999 to December 31, 2005 with interest, payment of HRA/CCA arrears held up with corporation with effect from January 1, 1992 to August 31, 1993, payment of COLA arrears in favour of the GTU pensioners with effect from January 1, 2006 to the respective dates of retirement.
The Executive body appealed to all the GTU Pensioners /Family Pension holders to assemble at Railway Headquarter of JKSRTC on September 21 so that the further course of action could be chalked out to press for redressal of the genuine demands.
