12/5/2006 11:48:05 PM

JAMMU | DEC 5
“Panun Kashmir has disassociated itself from the recommendations of Prime Minister’s working group on Rehabilitation and Return of Kashmiri Pandits (KP)”, announced Convener, Panun Kashmir Dr. Agnishekhar in a press conference held this afternoon.
Agnishekhar termed the entire process as a futile exercise and mere eyewash.
Agnishekhar said that the recommendations of the working group are not concerned with the core of problem of the Kashmiri Pandits as their demand for the constitution of a special inquiry into cause of expulsion of Pandits from the valley has been ignored by the centre. Very soon a delegation of KP’s will be going to meet the Prime Minister personally and brief him about the prevailing conditions in the state.
Expressing resentment over the claim of government for the providence of jobs to 25000 displaced youths, Agnishekhar said that the commitment was also not fulfilled by the government so far.
