‘Government’s steps really appreciable’ | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, September 19: A joint meeting of the employees of All Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Stationery and Office Supplies Employees Association was held under the leadership of Babu Hussain Malik, President of the Association including Seva Ram Ratbote, Uday Singh Pathania, Veetji Koul, Dina Nath, Pavnesh Kumar, S S Pathania, Jatwant Singh, Mohammad Hussain, Mohammad Iqbal, Kuldeep Kumar and Dalip Singh.
The leaders of the Association in the joint press release welcomed the agreement reached between the high powered group of Government of J&K and leaders which includes the demands of the employees as release of pending arrears of employees in 5 equal installments, increase in retirement age from 58 to 60 years, regularization of daily rated/casual labourers, redressal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre and issues related to the employees of Public Sector Undertakings (PSU). The Association also thanked the Chief Minister for constituting various committees to redress the above said demands of the employees.
Babu Hussain Malik also warned that if the Government back tracked from its commitments then the employees will again come on the street to get their rights and requested the government to release 7% D.A as sanctioned by Central Government at an earliest.
