| Two foreign terrorists killed in encounter | | |

Two foreign terrorists of Al Badar outfit were eliminated in a gunfight in village Hiyun Sopore and some ammunition recovered from their possession.
According to official sources, on specific information about presence of terrorists in the area, a joint column was launched in village Hiyun, Dangarpora, Sopore. The specific house was cordoned off and the militants were asked to surrender.
While seeing the troops approaching the house, the hiding militants opened indiscriminate fire on the troops.
To minimize collateral damage all the civilians in the nearby vicinity were evacuated to safer places and in the ensuing firefight two foreign militants of Al-Badr outfit identified as Abu Umar and Abu Tarab were killed.
One AK Rifle, four Magazines, 80 rounds of AK ammunition, one Pistol, one pistol magazine, six rounds of pistol ammunition, six hand grenades and one radio set was also recovered.
