Police holds anti drugs rally in Udhampur | | |

UDHAMPUR, Sep 19:
To aware the masses especially the youngsters about the harmful effects of drugs, a mass rally comprising of students drawn from various government and private educational institutions of the city.
Carrying banners and placards on Anti Drugs like Say No to Drugs, Leave Drugs Save Life, Avoid Smoking Save Planet, the students began their rally from Mini Stadium which after passing through the main locations of the Udhampur town, finally culminated in Mini Stadium, Udhampur this morning.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Udhampur, Shakeel Ahmed Beig flagged off the rally in which over one thousands students participated.
The rally was organized by District Police, Udhampur with the involvement of Education department.
Addressing the rally, SSP said that district police has chalked out a comprehensive plan to make people especially youths aware about the ill effects of drug addiction adding that involvement of youth in such awareness programmes could help all of us to make the drugs free society. He called upon the students to refrain from drug abuse for making healthy body and sound mind. He further said that such more programme would also be organizes in different locations of the district to sensitise the common masses about the menace. |
