| Army provides furniture to govt schools | | |

JAMMU, Sep 19:
In continuance with the Operation Sadbhavana projects, Kalidhar Brigade has provided furniture to Government Middle School, Thichka and Government High School, Thangar (Dhok Kangri) in Sunderbani Tehsil of Rajouri District.
Government Middle School, Thichka and Government High School, Thangar (Dhok Kangri) are schools in the border areas in Sunderbani Tehsil. The schools have approximately 300 students however schools infrastructure lacked essential infrastructure like furniture for students, due to which the students were forced to sit on the floor.
The problems were projected by schools to the army authorities, an immediate sanction was accorded and furniture was released under Operation Sadbhavana under the aegis of Kalidhar Brigade. The project has now been successfully completed with the provision of desks, tables, chairs and teaching material to the schools.
Kalidhar Brigade handed over the furniture to Government Middle School, Thichka and Government High School, Thangar (Dhok Kangri) today in an impressive ceremony organised by the school children. The ceremony was attended by Head Masters of schools, Thichka, Thangar (Dhok Kangri) alongwith school staff, Sarpanch of Thichka village, Sarpanch of Thangar (Dhok Kangri) and other civil dignitaries of Sunderbani. The students, parents and the teachers of the schools were extremely happy and grateful to army for the assistance.
