| ICELA welcomes elevation of Justice Kalifulla as Chief Justice | | |

JAMMU, Sep 19:
Indian Council for Enviro-Legal Action (ICELA), J&K Chapter has welcomed the elevation and administering the oath of office to Justice FM Ibrahim Kalifulla as Chief Justice of J&K High Court by the Governor NN Vohra at Raj Bhawan Srinagar, yesterday in a statement issued here today by its Convenor Ashok Sharma.
ICELA hoped that under the able stewardship of Justice FMI Kalifulla, the litigants of J&K State will get speedy trial and justice. The strength of subordinate courts and High Court judges will be increased and all the vacancies got filled for expeditious disposal.
ICELA sought intervention of new Chief Justice for creation of special courts/tribunal for trial and disposal of environmental cases.
