| GDC Bishnah launches campaign ‘Cities for Forests' | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Sept 20Govt. Degree College, Bishnah launches a campaign ‘Cities for Forests', jointly with World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and organized a symposium on the above said theme under the supervision of. Prot Dogra.
Chairman WWF, Jammu Dr. CM. Seth, was the Chief Guest on the occasion,. In his address he apprised the students about the role of forests and laid stress on making environment conservation -a part of life. He stressed that we should protect existing forests and plant more & more trees.
Earlier, Prof. Kalpana Kesar, Principal of the college in her inaugural address shed light on the importance of forest & the immediate need of preserving them.
Dr. Vijay Sharma, senior faculty member while speaking on the occasion, explained the importance of \ culture & Environment & their immediate need for preservation of forests & traditional culture.
