Don’t play with future of winter zone students- ABVP

Jammu , Sept 20Showing its concern for the students of winter zone Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Jammu & Kashmir has warned the J&K Board Authorities against the early conduction of +2 exams in winter zone of Jammu region and has demanded postponement of exams by at least one month.
In a meeting attended by students and parents of winter zone of Jammu Region which was held under the leadership of ABVP state secretary Ajay Sharma , large numbers of problems being faced by the students of winter zone were discussed.
The main problem highlighted in the meeting was early commencement of +2 exams. Which according to board calendar are scheduled to be held on 3rd October 2011? But according to the students this will be too early, as the syllabus covered till date is only 50 to 60%, moreover students are not mentally prepared and this time pattern of exam has also been changed from dual paper system to single paper system.
ABVP has appealed the J&K Board authorities for postponement of +2 exams by at least one month i.e., in the first week of November, so that students may get sufficient time to prepare themselves for the crucial exam properly. ABVP further warned the Board authorities, not to play with the future of winter zone students; otherwise ABVP will be forced to launch an agitation in support of genuine demand of winter zone students.
Those who were present in the meeting include Rakesh kumar, Sukesh Sharma, Kulveer, Nitin Sharma, sumit Parihar, Tausif Ahmed, Arun Bhandari, Vishal Mahajan, Pawan Kumar and Kiran Manhas.
