BJP demands regularization of Agriculture technocrats
9/20/2011 8:52:49 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sep 20:Extending his party’s support to the genuine demands of Agriculture technocrats,
BJP State Chief Spokesperson & National Executive Member Dr Jitendra Singh has advised the State government to concede the demand for regularization of Rehbar-e-Zirat officials on the pattern of Rehbar-e-Taleem.
Dr. Jitendra Singh was responding to the Agriculture Technocrats’ grievance that the Government order No. 0139/18/2011 dt. 04-08-2011 to regularize Rehbar-e-Zirat in year 2014, 2015 & 2016 in three phases of 7, 8 and 9 years was unfair and fallacious. He suggested that technocrats engaged under Rehbar-e-Zirat should be regularized batch wise and on the pattern of Rehbar-e-Taleem (after completing tenure of 5 years).
Dr. Jitendra Singh regretted that from time to time the agriculture technocrats have been holding protests and going on hunger strikes for redressal of their grievances but still failed to receive due attention from state authorities. They had ended their fast unto death on March 23 earlier this year only after receiving assurance from the State Legislative Assembly through its Speaker that government will formulate a proper policy to address their demands to their satisfaction, he reminded.
He also questioned the silence on part of Congress leaders from Jammu region for not taking up the cause of educated unemployed youth in an effective way though they are a partner in coalition government.
Dr Jitendra Singh said that it is not the Agriculture Technocrats only who have been on roads but Home Guards and other educated professionals too have been out on roads for years together.
