Defeat designs of anti-national elements: Manhas asks party men | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sep 20:On the first day of the three day tour of Doda and Kishtwar districts, BJP State President Shamsher Singh Manhas, chaired a meeting of senior leaders, office bearers and party activists at Doda city. Manhas while addressing the meeting, asked the party activists to fan out in their respective areas with a motive to educate the people that there are two ideologies working in the state. While one ideology is that of the BJP and of such forces which have been working round the clock to strengthen the nationalist forces and putting their best effort for defeating the designs of anti-national elements, the other ideology comprises of Kashmir based political parties, their leaders and separatists who have been openly advocating clemency for a dreaded terrorist Afzal Guru. He said that the law of the land has held him guilty and punished him but for petty political considerations such demands are made which are totally against the spirit of the constitution. Expressing concern over repeated accidents in Doda, Kishtwar, Bhaderwah, Ramban and other hilly areas, Manhas said that the poor road connectivity and failure of the concerned departments to discharge their duties with commitment has been the root cause of accidents which have been consuming numerous innocent lives. He, while demanding upgradation of the existing Government Hospitals in the area, said that more emergency health centres should be set up at short distances in such areas which have been witnessing frequent accidents. State Vice-President Som Raj Khajuria, in his address, said that there have been complaints of discriminating with the supporters and activists of BJP in matters related to providing benefits of various welfare schemes as well as in ignoring their areas in the process of developmental activities.
