| Awareness camp for Diabetics held | | |

A health awareness camp for Diabetics was organized in Bakshi Nagar by the local Corporator Surinder Singh Shingari to commemorate the 101st Birthday of Late Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah. Renowned Diabetologist, Dr. Jitendra Singh delivered lecture to aware the diabetic patients about the ways and means to curb this disease.
Dr. Singh also provided free medical consultation to the patients. Large number of people attended the camp and availed the facility of free sugar test. Dr. Singh in his lecture said that the statistical data about the alarming situation of the diabetes in India is a big threat to the National Human Capital. He informed that diabetes is a manageable disorder, which can be handled as in the case of country like Sweden. Dr. Singh was associated by Dr. Sudesh Jaswal, Deepak Kumar and Devinder Kumar during the camp.
