| 10+2 Contractual lectures of Samba hold protest | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sep 20:A delegation of All J&K 10+2 Contractual Lectures Forum, district Samba unit, led by its President Sonu Sharma after a protest demonstration submit Memorandum to Chief Minister through Deputy Commissioner Samba.
Enlisting the demands, grievance and their immediate readdressal, being faced by the 10+2 contractual employees and induction of 10+2 Contractual Lecturers under the special Provision Act passed by the Government for regularization of Adhoc/ Contractual/ Consolidated Employees.
The 10+2 lecturer Forum which is claiming the cause of all 10+2 contractual lecturers of J&K has made it clear that their protest would continue till their demands were not met by the government but at the same time they reiterated that their protest would not in any way jeopardize the academic interest of the student and class work will not suffer in any way.
They impressed upon the Government to immediately fulfill their demands to avoid any unpleasant situation which could derail the smooth functioning of higher classes being taught by the contractual lecturers.
Sharma further reiterated that their demands are on the same lines as the Govt. has agreed in lines first pronounced in policy vide Govt. order no.1301, Edu of 2003 dated 31-07-2003 where by new posts were created from upgraded middle, high and higher secondary schools and contractual appointments were announced against these posts with the assurance to regularized them after three years.
