| Mangat inaugurates Lasik Laser Centre | | |

Minister for Health and Medical Education, Pt Mangat Ram Sharma inaugurated JK Laser, a modern treatment centre for eye ailments, at Gandhi Nagar this afternoon. Deputy Speaker, Punjab Legislative Assembly Prof. Darbari Lal was the guest of honour whereas Corporator, Gandhi Nagar Bansi Lal Gupta was the special guest on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Sharma congratulated doctors and management and said this centre would provide modern treatment to eye ailments and patients who do not afford to go outside for specialized treatment will get latest treatment at their home town at affordable rates.
Minister was apprised that with the opening of this centre in Jammu, patients could avail this facility in the city and need not to go outside the state for specialized treatment. Lasik Laser will give freedom from spectacles and contact lenses to the patients of myopia. Hypermetropia and Astigmatism can be implanted to them at the centre without any Anesthesia, any injection or padding of eye and a patient can go home within half an hour after treatment.
