NZ inter-state U-14 crickt tournament | Delhi faces tough task against Himachal | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, Sept 20: After restricting Himachal Pradesh to a small total of 178, Delhi were in trouble losing two wickets for 54 runs in 30 overs at the end of opening day’s play in the two-day North Zone inter-state under-14 cricket final at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium, here today. Delhi made a slow start and in the process lost the first wicket in the shape of Aryan when score on board was just five runs. When the day’s play called off, Delhi were playing at 54 for two in 30 overs. Earlier, Himachal Pradesh bowled out for 178 runs in 69.2 overs. Ritwij was top scorer with 41 runs while Shubam Arora and Mudit contributed 39 and 32 runs respectively. From Delhi, Shivam Mavi was most successful bowler with four wickets. Pranav Arora also bowled well taking away three wickets. Earlier, Delhi and Himachal reached the final on the basis of points earned by them in the league round held between five teams. Host J&K, Punjab and Haryana could not make it to the top two.
