| District Level Science Exhibitions organised in Doda, Ramban | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
DODA, Sep 21:-To develop scientific attitude in the younger generation of the district, District Institute of Education and Trainings (DIET) Doda today organized the 4th Science exhibition in the Town Hall Doda.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Doda, A R Natnoo inaugurated the exhibition as the chief guest while as Chief Education Officer Doda, YR Thussu was the guest of honour.
Principal DIET Doda P.D Suman and senior functionaries of DIET and Education department were also present at the inaugural function.
Speaking on the occasion, the ADC said that present day age is completely dominated by science and it has contributed much to the comfort , health and other daily activities of the people.
Earlier, in her welcome address, Principal DIET Doda, P.D Suman said that such exhibitions are intended to provide opportunity to the students to give a practical shape to their scientific ideas.
70 schools, both Government as well as private educational institutions, of the district Doda participated in the exhibition and presented about 80 models.
A Team from State Institute of Education and Trainings Jammu has arrived at Doda for final judgment of the models for the State level science exhibition.
Meanwhile, a similar exhibition was also organized by DIET, Ramban at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Banihal.
As many as 85 models were exhibited by the students of various schools of district Ramban.
Chief Education Officer, Ramban, V K Soni inaugurated the exhibition at a simple but impressive inaugural function.
The valedictory function of the exhibition was held today where District Development Commissioner, Ramban, Shabir Bhat was the chief guest.
