9/21/2011 9:19:56 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sep 21:
A meeting of senior executive members of All J&K Sain Samaj(Barber community) was held here today.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of newly elected President of the community Kasturi Lal Basotra.
In the meeting, the members present congratulated Basotra & Manohar Lal Tidyal on being elected as President and General Secretary respectively of the biradari.
Speaking on the occasion, Kasturi Lal Basotra, assured that he will not leave no stone unturned for the noble cause of the community and to eradicate the social evils in the society.
He said that despite the judgement of Supreme Court of India on Mandal commission report in the case Indira Sawhney Vs Union of India, the state Government has not given the constitutional fundamental rights of 27% reservation in the state government services.
The state rulers have created an artificial Group of OBC’s under the garb of “Resident of Backward Areas” (RBA and ALC) who are illegally and unconstitutionally enjoying the 23% reservation in the state government recruitments at the cost of real backwards..
A joint struggle will remain in progress with the other OBC castes and communities to achieve such goals.
The others who spokes in the meeting were Mansa Ram, Kasturi Lal Manhas, Nek Ram, Sham Lal, Prabh Dayal, Gopal Krishan(Tonny), Shamboo Parshad Basotra and Bansi Lal Tidyal
