| Semi-final of Khwaja Naqashband Cricket tournament played | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, Sep 21:-The semi –finals of Shehar-e-Khas tournament was played today between four cricket teams of Shehar-e-Khas including Rudapora XI, Royal Sports Hawal, Soura-anchar CC and Pampore CC, out of which two teams Rudpora XI and Pampore XI reached the final .
The Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council has organized the sports tournament which is being played in different parts of Shehar-e-Khas during the last two months. As many as 32 teams of various important areas of Shehar-e-Khas participated in the tournament.
According to Secretary, Sports Council Kiran Wattal the Cricket Tournament was organized in affiliation with Directorate of Information and Public Relations. He said that it is the first time that such important tournament was organized by the sports Council out of its own sources.
On the occasion of Semi-final, Director Information Khawaja Renzushah was Chief Guest. He said that present youth are taking keen interest in sports activities throughout the State and it is responsibilities of all concerned department to encourage them and explore the talent.
Among others, various sports and media personalities, prominent citizens, besides large number of sports lover were also present on the occasion.
