| NSF elects Malik as chairman of JU unit | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu: Sept 21:
National Secular Forum appointed Shafqat Malik senior Research Scholar of The Business School as Chairman of University unit of NSF.
Malik’s appointment has been made by state President NSF Vikas Sharma in consultation with State Sr. Vice-President Rakesh Chib and district Chairman Surjit Choudhary. Shafqat Malik is an old NSF activist and was Vice-President Jammu University Unit before this appointment.
Addressing the meeting, Vikas Sharma said that the Forum is a non political, non religious and non Governmental organization which is working for the poor and
Sharma also condemned the MLAs from Jammu region for maintaining criminal silence in Assembly over the injustice to Jammu youth. He reiterated the demand for bifurcation of PSC, that is, one each at Jammu and Kashmir so that genuine candidates could be selected.
Others who spoke on the occasion include Rakesh Chib, Surjit Choudhary, Ravi Choudhary, Rahul Sharma and others.
