| DC Kishtwar conducts tour of Marwah | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KISHTWAR, Sep 21: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Mohammad Hussain Malik conducted extensive of tour of Marwah- Warwan area along with team of district officers representing various departments.
After inspecting the under construction road work of Inshan-Nowpachi road, the earthwork of which has been carried out up to 17th Km, the DDC along with the officers trekked the area on foot for 4 hours ahead from Passar to Nowpachi . While proceeding to Nowpachi , a number of individual petitioners and deputations met the DDC enroute at Mulwarwan, Dasbal, Sarkandoo, Passar, Astangam, Nowgam and Dehrai . The main demands/grievances of the public were relating to acute shortage of staff in Schools /Health care Institutions, up-gradation/improvement of Bridal paths, construction of Irrigation Khuls, opening of Veterinary dispensaries and organizing of combined awareness camps of Agriculture and allied Sectors.
At Nowpachi Marwah, the DDC held Public Durbar in which besides the officers, Sarpanches, Panches and inhabitants of Dehrna , Hanzal, Teller, Anjer ,Renie, Qaderna, Pethgam, Yourdoo and adjoining areas participated . The inhabitants put forth their demands /grievances relating to posting of staff in Schools, Health care Institutions and other Departments, expediting the construction of road upto Nowpachi, Providing of KGBV Hostel /Warden, Providing of helicopter service to the area, making the CIC functional, construction of Mini-Hydel Projects, Providing of Solar lights, construction of Irrigation Khuls and Providing of ration to Renei area from Inshan or Bhata. Responding to their demands, the DDC assured the inhabitants that their genuine grievances shall be redressed in a phased manner. DDC also issued on spot directions for sorting out ration issue of Renei and making the Schools/ health care Institutions functional. He also issued on spot directions for ensuring that construction of earthwork of Nowpachi road is expedited /completed within the deadline fixed.
